Title: Antique Colonial Santo Immaculate Concepcion, c900s
Description: Colonial and present-day Filipinos venerate the Virgin in many unique ways. Her titles are plentiful and she is, in fact, the patroness of the Philippines. This wooden carving is done in a style that is quite unique with its oriental features. The carving is symmetrical and simple yet very imposing. There is a long crack on the front side of her base and some minor abrasions due to age can be seen throughout. She is believed to be over sixty years old and to have originated, most probably, in or around Manila where there is a significant Chinese population.
Measurement: It measures 10 inches in height (including the base) and 3 inches across.
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: Item weighs approximately 200 grams
