Many examples exist ranging from the expertly carved to crude folk statues crafted by the everyday man. It is a very interesting aspect of Filipino culture and is a testament to their faith, religiosity as well as their fine craftsmanship.|

This particular example is believed to be about one hundred years old as evident in its patina. A lovely example of folk craftsmanship and religiosity, this piece would be a great addition to any antique collection or home altar.
