The Filipinos have a natural flair for carving and many santos, old and new, can be found in most Filipino dwellings and indeed the majority of the santos that are put on sale are sourced from these homes.
Up for sale is this lovely antique santo carving depicting an unidentified male Franciscan. He is done in the classical style and is mounted on a simple base that is original to the figure. He is missing both hands, a feature not uncommon for statues this old.
Measurement: It measures 14 inches in height and 4 inches across.
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: approximately 700 grams
