Antique 19th Century Immaculate Concepcion Santo Statue, Immaculada

Title: Antique 19th Century Immaculate Concepcion Santo Statue, Immaculada
Description: In the Philippines, where 92% of the population are Christians, the image of the Virgin is quite celebrated. Talented craftsmen from all over the country has produced over many decades many likenesses of Mary as a testament of their faith. Although many were carved back in the day few very old examples have survived. This piece is one such example. Believed to have been carved in the 1900s, it is missing both arms which is quite common for statues this old. Traces of paint, although faded and chipped, is still visible. Minor cracks and abrasions can be seen throughout but these small imperfections only add to the patina of the piece giving it an authentic feel of antiquity. It is mounted on a custom base which makes it an excellent piece for displaying.
Measurement: It measures 11.6 inches in height (including the base) and 4.3 inches across
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: approximately 800 grams
