Title: 19th Century Unidentified Male Saint, Primitive Folk Style Santo
Description: This antiquated wooden statuette reflect the old traditional way of carving in colonial Philippines. It is done in the popular folk style of carving characterized by the somewhat squat and disproportionate appearance. There is a chip on the right side of the head as well as on the lower right side of the torso. Remnants of tin can be seen on the reverse side but these have been lost over time. Abrasions can be seen throughout. A truly old piece as evident in the patina. It is believed to be over a hundred years old.
Measurement: It measures 11 inches in height (including the base) and 3.5 inches across.
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: approximately 400 grams
