Vintage Religious Carving, Santo San Francisco De Asis w/out Right Hand

Title: Vintage Religious Carving, Santo San Francisco De Asis w/out Right Hand
Description: The founder of the Order of Friars Preachers or Franciscans is a well known saint and has a large following in the Philippines. During the Spanish colonial era, aplenty of images were made after him and the devotion spread throughout the islands. This wooden icon is made of batikuling, a Philippine wood and expresses a late baroque style. Though the right hand is missing, it has retained the fluidity of sculpturing, deeply enhanced by details such as the tonsure, the facial attributes, and the pleats in the habit. Minor abrasion and cracks are visible due to age. It is believed to be more than eighty years old and must have come from Northern Luzon, Philippines.
Measurement: It measures 14 inches in height and 4.5 inches across.
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: Item weighs approximately 800 grams
