Description: This world renowned wooden image of the Sto. Nino is made of molave, an indigenous wood from the Philippines. First introduced in pre-Hispanic Cebu its popularity reached the island of Luzon, where it was also introduced in Tondo and later in Pandacan, both old settlements in Manila. The icon is well proportioned with embedded floral etchings. Though the right hand is missing, all the artistic indigenous attributes are present. The crown looks regal, likewise with decorative etchings. It is believed to be more than ninety years old and probably come from Manila.
Measurement: It measures 10.5 inches in height and 5 inches across.
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: approximately 1,200 grams
