during the Spanish period to aid in the evangelization of the Philippines. Up for sale is this lovely depiction of St. Dominic the founder of the Dominican Order.
He is beautifully carved and is believed to be over one hundred years old. The figure is mounted on a simple base which looks to be original to the piece. He is missing both
hands, a feature not uncommon for these older carvings as they are typically carved from a separate piece of wood. An overall great antique sure to be a great addition to any santo collection.
Measurement: It measures 12.5 inches in height (including the base) and 3.5 inches across.
Condition: In Good Condition
Weight: approximately 350 grams
