From the Rainbow’s Vatied Hue: Textiles of the Southern Philippines

Title: From the Rainbow’s Vatied Hue: Textiles of the Southern Philippines
Author: Roy W. Hamilton, Cherubim A. Quizon, Ruurdje Laarhoven, Abdullah T. Madale, Nagasura T. Madale
Synopsis: The ULCA Fowler Museum of Cultural History has made the collection and presentation of textiles a major programmatic priority. Over the years, the Museum has drawn on its collection to develop a number of successful textile exhibitions, usually accompanied by a scholarly book (a complete list of the Museum’s textile publications appears in the back of this volume), as well as by lectures and other public programming. The enthusiastic response of our audience to these exhibitions has been very rewarding. We are therefore particularly pleased to initiate, with the publication of this volume, a new series devoted entirely to textile subjects.
