Cee Cadid

was born in Hagonoy, Bulacan 1954. (Hyper-realism) BFA UE 1977 under Ros Arcilla for freehand drawing and Abdulmari Imao for sculpture. Boarded in high school in the home of artist Philip Victor, a second cousin. Victor was already sketching at the time, at this inspired him to chose art as a carrer. Went to Mla and apprenticed with Sofronio Mendoza in 1972, thus becoming a member of Dimasalang II, the younger group of Ernesto Villanueva, Vicente Laroza, and Godofredo Mendoza. Paricipated in the Diamsalang and Dimasalang II exhibits at ABC Galleries. Also joined the Sigliwa group that met in the home of Romulo Galicano every Sunday in the ‘80s together with Martino Abellana, Ben Francisco, Philip Victor, Ting San Diego, and J.C. (Ah Sing) Wong. Was part of Sigliwa exhibits at Silahis Hotel and Pines Hotel in Baguio. In the ‘90s, joined the Tuesday Group at the NCCS led by Angel Cacnio. Also joined Hagonoy Art Group’s annual exhibits. First solo, Galerie Bleue, 1977. Mounted a two-man show with Nestor Villanueva at Hidalgo Gallery in 1983. latest solo, 1992. Lopez Museum. His works was featured on the back cover of the Feb issue of Reader’s Digest finalist, Phil Nat’l Bank contest s, 1976, and Rotary Club of Makati North’s contest [20th Ed and Vol III- MD]
