Antonio "Tony" Daleon

Antonio "Tony" Daleon of Lucena and Morong. Took art studies at the University of Santo Tomas on scholarship. A graphic designer who put up a computer graphic shop in Tanay, he started to paint in the ‘90s and was fulltime at it by 2000. Mentored by Martin Catalos of Tanay, Jun Tiongco and Ramon Vivas, he joined the yearly exhibitions of the Tanay Artist Group. Invited to join the invitational Kulay sa Tubig watercolor competition because of his fine watercolor work, he was also part of a New York show by the World Bank, along with Tanay hyper-realist Irvyn Roxas. Together with Adler Llagas and Jojo Florendo, he exhibited at the Philippine Independence Day celebration in Caracas, Venezuela in 2003, the year he decided to paint flowers and butterflies exclusively. Daleon’s work of flying butterflies and generic blooms in blue, puple and violet, featured in the coffeetable art books, ‘Art Collector’s Guidebook,’ and Art Across the Philippines Vol. II’. He has art patrons in Manila, Australia and the U.S.
