was born in Mexico, Pampanga,1954. (Impressionist landscapes, still life) Because his father owned horses, he was a cochero for several years in his youth. Coming to Mla as a boy to sell boxing tickets on Ermita, he was exposed to the art scene and would pick up from early mentors Paco Gorospe and Roger San Miguel. Apprenticed under Vilco & Co artist Francisco Ello at his Malabon studio. Also worked as an assistant to Rafael Maniago of Angeles City. Taken in as an artist at Cesar Buenaventura for a period of ten years, becoming his greatest influence. Did etching work in Israel in 1979. While, there, mounted his first two solos at the Phil Embassy in Dissingdof. Would later own a small gallery in the early ‘80s located at the Flea Market across Fiesta Filipino on Dewey Blvd. [Manuscript The Son Also Rises-JS]
